PURPOSE

To provide a consistent procedure for publicizing retirements and departures of faculty and staff members with varying lengths of service from the University.

WITH 20 YEARS OR MORE OF CONTINUOUS REGULAR UNIVERSITY SERVICE:

Recognition in the Penn State Intercom with an article and photo.

WITH MORE THAN 10, BUT LESS THAN 20 YEARS OF CONTINUOUS REGULAR UNIVERSITY SERVICE:

Recognition in the Penn State Intercom with listing of name, title, department and number of years of University service.

EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES:

The Penn State Intercom staff will continue to accept and/or publish special interest stories and articles on unusual departures or retirements such as emeritus rank, distinguished scholar, etc.
