To outline the procedure to be followed when making a hiring commitment for a wage payroll job.
Wage payroll vacancies shall be listed with the Employment and Compensation Division (865-1387) prior to a commitment being made.
No wage payroll job shall be committed to any individual without prior concurrence of the Employment and Compensation Division.
After concurrence by the Employment and Compensation Division, a Wage Payroll Personnel Recommendation shall be submitted by the hiring department to the Personnel Actions Control Desk, Room 114 James M. Elliott Building. Time cards for payment of a wage payroll employee will not be processed for payment in the absence of a Wage Payroll Personnel Recommendation on file.
Federal Law now requires that an Employment Eligibility Verification Form (Form I-9) must be completed for all new employees hired at the University including Wage Payroll employees.
