PURPOSE:
To state the University's policy concerning the effective date of employment or termination for an employee paid biweekly.
EFFECTIVE DATE OF EMPLOYMENT:
The effective date of employment shall be the first day the employee is actively at work.
EFFECTIVE DATE OF TERMINATION:
The effective date of termination shall be the last day the employee is actively at work, except as provided in the following Policies/Guidelines:
HR50 - Use of Accumulated Vacation at Time of Resignation or Retirement, or upon Completion of a Fixed Term 1 Appointment,
HRG14 - Establishing Date of Termination of Employment Occurring Near December/New Year's Holiday Period.
