Introduction - Intellectual Property Policies

The following Intellectual Property policies have been promulgated by the appropriate officers of the University within their delegated responsibilities from the Board of Trustees. The Intellectual Property section of the Policy Manual presents Penn State policies governing the ownership and management of intellectual property created by members of the University. The Policy Steward for this section of the Policy Manual is the Senior Vice President for Research. If there are questions about any of these policies or guidelines, please contact this office for assistance. Future Intellectual Property policies, or revisions of these policies, will be released for inclusion in this Policy Manual when they become effective.
